KU Transition to Postsecondary Education for Youth with Intellectual Disabilities

Project Description

KU Transition to Postsecondary Education (TPE) is a set of services and supports to ensure KU undergraduates with Intellectual and Developmental Disability (ID/D) are included across all facets of academic, career development and student life. Students take at least 6 credit hours of KU undergraduate coursework and complete a program of study to obtain a KU TPE undergraduate certificate, complete career development activities and internships, can live in campus housing, and participate in student clubs and organizations. The intent is for KU TPE to continue to be supported by program fees and other funding beyond the initial federal grant funding.
