We provide education and training to help people use evidence-based practices in their everyday work. We work with schools, disability and community organizations, service providers, people with disabilities, and families. Our training and resources are shaped by research, practice, and lived experience and are designed to help improve outcomes for people with and without disabilities.
Professional Learning Opportunities
KUCD's Self-Determination Learning Center (SDLC) is a national technical assistance and professional learning center dedicated to expanding access to evidence-based practices that support self-determination. The SDLC provides training, coaching, tools, resources, and ongoing implementation support to help educators, service providers, organizations, and other partners effectively implement and sustain self-determination practices. Through accessible professional learning, technical assistance, and partnerships, the SDLC works to bridge the gap between research and practice and ensure that people with disabilities have opportunities to build and use self-determination skills across school, work, and community settings.
