What is SOAR?

SOAR stands for Seeking Opportunities for an Advocacy Revolution and is supported by the Heartland Self-Advocacy Network. The purpose of the SOAR Conference is to bring together self-advocates with intellectual and developmental disabilities from around the Mid-West to exchange ideas and learn from each other about advocacy. At the SOAR conference, self-advocates from Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming have opportunities to grow their self-advocacy skills through mentoring, training, and leadership development.
