Biography

Abby Azeltine has been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist since 2017, serving individuals across the lifespan in settings including early intervention, schools, outpatient clinics, and adult rehabilitation. She has experience supporting a wide range of communication and cognitive needs.

In 2023, Abby joined the University of Kansas as a Research Project Manager with Assistive Technology for Kansans (ATK). In January 2025, she became Director of Research, leading statewide efforts to increase access to assistive technology for individuals with disabilities and health conditions.

Abby is passionate about empowering people to identify tools and strategies that support independence, communication, and meaningful participation in daily life. Her work emphasizes access to assistive technology to help individuals learn, work, engage socially, and be active in their communities.

With a collaborative and person-centered approach, Abby focuses on connecting research to practice, ensuring that services and supports are both evidence-based and practical.
