Biography —
Hannah Cox is an Education Program Manager at the Kansas University Center on Disabilities, where she supports the expansion of the Self-Determined Learning Model of Instruction (SDLMI) across multiple grant-funded projects. Her work includes traditional teacher-directed implementation, student-driven technology platforms, and one-on-one mentorship. Hannah supports multi-disciplinary teams and supports research focused on sustainable, systems-level use of the SDLMI. She specializes in building educator capacity through cross-agency collaboration and coaching, and professional learning centered on inclusive, student-driven practices. Her work is grounded in educational equity, amplifies student voices, and promotes positive post-school outcomes. Hannah is a licensed speech-language pathologist, whose experiences in diverse settings inform her commitment to strengths-based instruction, authentic inclusion, and self-determination for all students. She holds a Master of Science in Communciation Sciences and Disorders from Rockhurst University, and a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University.
