Nick Hoekstra

Nick is a project manager and research wanderer who has collaborated on inclusive education focused projects in over 30 countries. He has a Master’s degree in education policy and is currently a doctoral candidate in the department of special education at KU. His major research interests have targeted the implementation of UDL in low-resource environments and the use of AI as assistive technology. Nickis also a passionate martial artist with a black belt in Judo and brown belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu. One of his special interests is promoting inclusive sports for individuals with disabilities. When not wandering (or training), Nick is often lost in a fantasy novel.
