Lindsay Rentschler, Ph.D.

Dr. Rentschler’s research focuses on designing, implementing, and disseminating high-quality community- and school-based services that support youth with disabilities, including autistic youth, through the transition to adulthood. She is deeply committed to community-engaged research and partners with self-advocates, families, educators, service providers, and advocacy organizations to develop and study instructional practices that promote self-determination and improve outcomes in postsecondary education, competitive integrated employment, and meaningful community participation for people with disabilities. Her work emphasizes identifying evidence-based practices and translating them for real-world use through strong community partnerships and an implementation science lens. Dr. Rentschler brings nearly two decades of experience working with youth and young adults with disabilities in schools, clinics, and homes as a former behavior analyst and classroom teacher.
