Taylor Givens

Taylor is a Research Project Specialist at the Kansas University Center on Disabilities, where she helps expand the use of the Self-Determined Learning Model of Instruction (SDLMI) in the school setting. The SDLMI empowers individuals to set and work toward their goals. She is currently contributing to research focused on improving post-school outcomes for youth with disabilities by promoting inclusive, evidence-based practices. She previously worked in a pre-K setting as a lead teacher. Taylor holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas.
